Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS
The Stampede ECS is the first Nerf gun to employ a fully automatic clip system. Three extended clips are included in the box along with one quick-reload clip. An extended clip can hold up to 18 darts. There is a generous supply of 60 foam darts for loading into the clips. You’ll also get a few handy accessories that create an unfair advantage for the user.
Firstly, there is a removable shield on Stampede ECS Blaster that can be attached anywhere along the tactical rail. The visor on the shield allows visibility and at the same time protects the face from the onslaught of enemy attacks. It’s pretty flimsy but still more than ample for blocking foam darts.
The pop-out bipod is a huge improvement over the stand that came with the Vulcan. It attaches to any tactical rail along the bottom of the Stampede ECS. From there you simply have to press a button to release the feet. Its purpose is to allow you to stabilize the gun on a surface such as a table or trash can.
Foam dart don’t generate much impact so it may be safe to use in the rec room. Then again the overall mayhem caused by the kids avoiding each other’s gunfire will be a far bigger threat than the guns themselves. It’s most prudent to designate this as an outdoor game. The Nerf N Strike Stampede ECS rapidly shoots harmless foam dart up to 50 feet if the gun is angled correctly and the wind is blowing right. A typical shot with the nozzle pointed perfectly horizontal will go 30 feet. By holding the gun at an upwards angle the average is increased to nearly 40 feet.
Weighing in at 5.5 lbs. the Nerf N-Strike Stampede ECS will make any kid 8 years old and up look like a miniature Rambo. The difference is of course that the Stampede provides kids with a totally safe outlet for their military fantasies. Battles with friends or siblings equipped with similar Nerf launchers will no doubt create hours of fun in the backyard.
